Facebook ads are a popular platform for promoting events and promotions. More than 400 million Facebook users interact with social network's events every month. If you own a Facebook page, you can use it to promote an event for your company, however, in order to reach out to your target audience, you need to advertise your event on Facebook.

The biggest issue with events is that people miss the notification for them or they don't check which events they have been invited to. They miss out on something because they did not think to check into it. This is hard because people depend on event RSVPs for a head count.

By having the ability to advertise the events in the news feed, more people will see them. This means more people will respond and RSVP to them. This will help with the number of people who go to the events that have been posted.

Whenever they pop onto FaceBook, they are going straight to the news feed and this is great real estate for event organizers. With the ability to now market the events throughout the news feed, it is a great chance to get more people to show up and know about what is happening in town.

They have also recently updated the events page to make it easier to follow. You can now find any events you are a part of as well as the invites you still need to look at. It is also easier to delete an event without having to publicly decline it. Sometimes people get invited to events that they have nothing to do with. This happens when people invite everyone to their event or everyone from their group. This is hard because they do want to get the event out there but might end up with a lot of people who ignore it.

Event pages have been redesigned too. Individual Facebook users now have access to a personal event page that highlights upcoming events, and will also prominently showcase suggested events. These events include not just ones that they have been invited to, but also events that they may be interested in. Recommendations are based on the pages that users like, their location, and even the day of the week.
