Instagram is, without question, one of the most popular applications designed for sharing photos. Anyone who's used the app, at length, will tell you the same and they will assess the various features it possesses as well. However, you must keep in mind that this particular app has more than a few users to account for. In fact, as Internet marketing firms will tell you, its user base numbers have come together to form one of the biggest talking points that this app could ever offer.

Instagram recently announced that it had reached more than 300 million subscribers worldwide. This isn't a small feat, either, especially when given the fact that this exceeds the number of subscribers that exists on Twitter. In fact, this comparison has been made across a number of publications, if you perform a search on Google. It's not hard to see why, given the fact that Twitter is perhaps the number two social media channel behind Facebook.

It's important to keep in mind that, back in March, Instagram had a total of 200 million subscribers; this was before Facebook purchased the brand. Once said purchase was made, during that following April, Instagram saw an increased level of traffic and user subscriptions. With time, success is going to entail improvements, according to firms like fishbat. Fortunately, Instagram has recognized this and there are many point that Internet marketing firms may draw attention.

If you want to talk about specific improvements, authentication was spoken about in detail. The reason for this is because Instagram proposed a verification system, not unlike the one that Twitter uses, in order to confirm the legitimacy of pages for celebrities, actors, athletes, and brands in general. Given the popularity of Instagram, as a whole, it's not difficult to see why this will be integrated. To me, it'll only help to keep engagement in Instagram that much stronger.

It's clear that Facebook has had an affect on Instagram's audience. Through these improved numbers, Instagram has amassed even more popularity and I believe that anyone who's even remotely involved in the Internet can say the same. With that said, it's important to consider that visuals are more easily digestible than other forms of media, text included. As a result, I do not see Instagram's appeal lowering anywhere in the near future.
